Hailed as 'one of the hottest drummers on the planet' by Nitin Sawhney, RBMA Graduate, heir to what has been called the 'the first family of Indian Independent Music', core member of pathbreaking band Pink-Noise and most well known as one half of indie art-pop duo Parekh & Singh, Visual/Inter-diciplinary artist/ Drummer/Producer Jivraj Singh is the personification of unassuming, prodigal, autodidactic talent and depth, the extent of which he still remains reluctant to acknowledge openly.
In his most intimate conversation on record till date, I catch up with my God-brother, collaborator, soulmate and peer-mentor to talk about how the last 5 years have been since the demise of his parents and my friends Gyan and Jayshree Singh, his most adult break up, his history-making success with Parekh and Singh, therapy and decision to leave Social Media.
